I've started a podcast book about 4 times, and after reading The Fine Print of Self Publishing by Mark Levine I really want to put out a book on Podcasting. Sony Acid does this, for the lowest price, and I love it. I want to be able to apply an effect on each track, and the master track. I want to to be able toĪdjust the volume of each track and create custom fade in and outs. The Xpress version does not have inline effects you can add (the full version does) and that's all I'm looking for in a software.
I also wanted a software I could recommend to people and Sony Acid is only $54 bucks, and its working fine (I'm using Xpress till payday). I use to use Acoustica Mixcraft and its now 74 dollars and does WAY more than I need it to do.
I am going to upgrade to the full Sony Acid Music Studio for around $55 bucks. I ended up loading a free version of Sony Acid xpress. It turns out my Sony Sound Forge 8 doesn't run on Windows 7, my Pain Shop Pro runs in a strange mode. I paid about 800 bucks for it, and it is running Windows 7.
